Do you remember the film 'Fearless' with Jeff Bridges surviving an air crash and thinking he has become immortal?
Sounds familiar? Well I think David Coulthard handled his recent plane crash with a great deal of sensitivity and dignity but I'm now tired of hearing the line that surviving this event has caused him to metamorphosise into a newly motivated driver ready to challenge Michael Schumacher for the world championship. I'm sorry David but if you weren't motivated before the accident then there's just something missing and listening to all the rubbish in the newspapers is just going to give you a dangerous opinion that all the bad luck you always used to tell us about has magically flown away and you have somehow become invincible. The media, and most British F1 fans, are just desperate for a replacement for Damon Hill and Nigel Mansell and are pushing this myth that Coulthard is now superman. I don't buy in to this - Michael Schumacher is going to be the next F1 World Champion and he's going to do it because he's the best driver in a competitive car not because he's lucky.
