Advantages: some good players

After yet another defeat, this time at the hands of new-comers of Burnley, Crystal Palace fans must be wondering why they got rid of Steve Coppel. He was doing just fine, he saved Palace from relegation, on a shoe-string budget. Not to mention all the upheaval behind the scenes.

So, they appoint Alan Smith, who enjoyed success with Palace first time round, but that was then, football has changed massively, it takes time to get success, something which fans and teams like Crystal Palace don't have. If, they get relegated this season, they will lose more money, and even a few of their good player like Razor Ruddock.

The old cliche don't change something which isn't broken, is so true. Coppel lived for Palace, he has been involved with them for years, if anyone can get Palace up the league it would have been him. I, just hope Alan Smith does a good job for Palace, has he give up an excellent job at Fulham to come and manage here.

If, there is anyone to blame it has to be the chairman, after all it was him who got rid of Coppel
