in euro 2000, we did not see their best. In the first game, against Holland, a late dubious penalty to say the least meant defat, and practically thier tournament over. A difficult match against France followed. A team who didn't lose a game, never mind a point in the qualifying for euro 2000, it was an extremely difficult group they were picked in. Were they not ranked? They were also robbed of their best player Patrick Berger, who had to miss out of two matches because of a red card recieved in th last match of qualification. Syrely, that must be reviewed. ... Read the complete review

The Czechs have a very good side, exemplified by their 100% record in qualifying for this tournament. During the group stages they were very unlucky in all of their games. The group that they were in was also a difficult one, and two good teams had to leave it at the end. The one match in which they were really cheated was against Holland, where the host nation just shaded it. They created a lot of good chances, but their forwards could just not capitalise on them. For a team of relative unknowns, they are a very efficient unit. ... Read the complete review

If anybody saw any of the games with, czech republic there was not one point where the czechs didn't look not strong. In comparison to our pitterfall english team, the czechs looked to have passion flowing all through the team. The passing was fluent and the shots were unlucky. They did get a rough draw as well with the favourites in there group being the underdogs. When the world cup comes around I think everybody should be a lillte worried to the potential of the czechs, I'm not saying they could win it, but none the less destroy some stronger teams. ... Czech Republic is one of the stronger team in Euro 2000. As can be seen from their qualifying matches, they won all their matches. But it is too unlucky for them to be placed in the same group with France and Holland. France, the world champion has already been the favourite before the Euro 2000 started. Holland is a strong team with a home ground advantage. In fact, in their opening match against Holland, they played well with two unlucky strikes to the goal posts. It is so unfortunate for them to concede a late penalty to Holland and then lost the match. Though they do not have an individual outstanding player, they are great as a team, ... To qualify played 10, won 10. Not a bad record. I can't see this team winning, but the bookies do not even think they will qualify to the second round. The initial group looks to be tight with no obvious whipping dogs, with a well grouped defence, all but one from Sparta Prague, I can see them squeezing through. If they do qualify the second round match will be against a group C team, probably spain or norway, which could be the easiest quarter final. With this in mind I can see a semi-final place beckoning. In such a well balanced group I think I may put my money where my mouth is/ fingers are and have a small wager on ... Read the complete review
