I never knew this could be so addictive!

Disadvantages: You'll spend more and more time on the computer!
I was first told of dooyoo by a good friend who had been using dooyoo as a place to earn a little extra cash whilst we were both University students. I have always enjoyed writing, and the added bonus of having a little bit of money coming in from something I loved doing were good enough reasons to join up to the site and have a go.
I joined back in July 2009, and at first, I only wrote now and again. It was a month or so later that I truly learnt how addictive dooyoo can be. After graduating in July 2009, I was penniless and jobless, and desperately trying to find a way to get some extra bits of cash. So I headed back to dooyoo and started to regularly post. After all, what is wrong with posting here if I love writing anyway?
What I have realised is that it is quite hard to just write the one in a day. I find that as soon as I have written one, I want to go straight on and share my thoughts and opinions on something else. It makes me feel quite good looking through my ever-expanding amount of reviews, and thinking about how much time and effort I have put into each one of those. I find I tend to push over 1,000 words per review, even for something so simple, and I still enjoy it.
After being here for quite some time now, I have come to realise that dooyoo is a real community driven place to be a part of. I decided it was worth checking out what the community had to offer, so I started reading and rating other dooyoo members reviews on a regular basis. This became an addiction in itself, as not only do I enjoy reading what other people have to say, but I also find some ideas as to what I should write on next. For instance, I may visit a profile of someone in my circle of friends, and see that they have reviewed a film or game that I love but have not thought about reviewing. Now to those who know me, or have seen my reviews, I like to rate a fair amount of film and game reviews, and so having more ideas from fellow dooyooers just helps to expand my review list.
Now before you think anything of my addiction, I am not a typical dooyoo review churner. I love having a bit of money in my pocket, especially as I am still job hunting, so yes, I do treat dooyoo as a job in one respect, but in another, I find it is a great place to visit and be a part of. It is quite refreshing reading the huge amount of reviews that are contained here, and I enjoy seeing other people comment and rate my reviews. Good comments and more people adding me to their circle of friends only makes me want to do more, and to keep reading other peoples! Now back to treating dooyoo as a job. Right now, I am in a stage of my life where there are some important decisions that need to be made. I am hoping to have my first ever holiday away with my dedicated boyfriend of nearly a year and a half, and we are both planning to move in with one another by September or so. Therefore, any extra contributions into our savings account is brilliant. Thank god for dooyoo. These cheques are heading straight into our account, and are really making a difference. It is these plans that make my addiction to dooyoo even worse! I just want to be able to make sure they all come into place, and we have enough money to finance them, so I always make sure I have a little time each day to write at least one or two reviews. I always make sure I fit in reading other peoples in that time too!
So yes, being a member of dooyoo can become a bit of an addiction. When I know there are a lot of people interested in reading what I have to say, and leaving me lovely comments, it just spurs me on to write even more. I highly enjoy reading what other people have to say, especially if it is on a product that I have tried myself too. It is comforting to know that there are many more people on here that share the addiction, and it is not a bad thing! I enjoy writing, and I have found that writing regularly on dooyoo has helped to improve my writing abilities, which is excellent. Now...what should I review next I wonder?
Summary: An addiction, but a great one to have! It is helping to fund my future plans for one!
