Judging from the fact that there are already 480 reviews on this topic, I think it is fair to say that Dooyoo addiction is real! I discovered this site via the fantastic Moneysavingexpert website. I have been on here just over a month now, and it is safe to say that Dooyoo has become a big part of my life (sad but true).
I started on this site to make a bit of extra cash. As I saw the points totting up quickly, I had no idea that they actually equalled the same amount in cash! This is because I was previously a member of a site called Toluna, which was similarly points based, but you needed to get about 60, 000 points to earn £12 and it took forever! I gave up after the first voucher! Anyway, Dooyoo is completely different. In a very short time, I had already qualified for an Amazon voucher, and delighted in spending the money on treats for the kids, happy that our depleting bank balance was not taking any extra stress!
Once I had done a few reviews, I started bouncing round the house, emptying cupboards to find anything and everything to review. When I wasn't on the site, I was thinking about things I could review. When out and about, i would stash all my wrappers safely in my bag to keep that oh so important product information about what I had consumed!
Then there is the whole rating thing. People are kind enough to read your reviews, its only proper to rate back! So after spending a couple of hours writing my reviews for the day, I then need to make sure I religiously rate back everyone who has been kind enough to rate me. Another couple of hours gone.
Dooyoo seriously messes with your head. When you are out and about, you look at everything in terms of rating it and reviewing it. Life is never quite the same. My hubby quietly sits and groans as I sit in the corner, frantically tapping away. I eat, sleep and breathe Dooyoo.
It's not just me. My brother broke his leg recently, and I suggested that he try this site for something to do. He has consistently typed out 5 reviews each day since he joined the site. I think he is going to have serious problems going back to work...
I try to ration my time on dooyoo to a couple of hours each afternoon, but it inevitably spills over into more. After all, there is so much to do, writing, rating and checking out all the new reviews.
It's a full time job.
Summary: I won't stop until I have reviewed everthing in the world!
