Advantages: The wonderful people you can meet. Learning about things you've never heard about before!

Disadvantages: I spend far too much time on the internet. I'm losing sleep :(

Welcome! Come and have a seat, this rounds on me.
Yes I know that's a strange thing to say so let me explain. I once read an opinion by a really sweet lady who suggested that DooYoo was a like a pub and it really has become my local!

There's really only one problem with this being my local - I can hear voices or at least I think I can when I'm reading a new opinion on something that's caught my eye. Some of the newer members tend to shout but then most of us did to start with! Now I just ignore them if they get too loud. Before you leave thinking that I've really flipped my lid and completely lost the plot, I'll give you a little sneak peak inside, if you'd like that is.

Right, you're still with me, good. Settle down grab a nice cool drink - I've got mine but it's only water tonight, I've got to get up early! Here we go.

Every night I sit at my computer and log on to DooYoo - I have to otherwise I get upset. First stop is my homepage to see whether anyone else has paid me a visit and left any new comments for me to read. Next it's to see whether my 'friends' have written anything new, each one is an 'expert' in a different field. I've got a movie critic, a sports fanatic, a couple of book reviewers and someone who writes some of the best humorous pieces around!

After I've gone through the basics I like to read the latest opinions. I always start on the last page so that I don't miss anything of interest. Sometimes I hate what I've read but I always try to rate honestly, after all the writer took the time and effort to put forward their opinion so it seems only fair, don't you agree? Occasionally I'll leave a comment - even if it's only to say 'great op' or to give my opinion on the particular subject at hand.

I've read some of the most amazing things on DooYoo, I've laughed and cried, been totally
shocked and, sometimes, even outraged! You wouldn't believe some of the emotions that just reading other peoples opinions can provoke - sometimes I think I really am losing the plot!

The next thing I need to tell you is how grateful I am to all the wonderful people here, you've entertained me when I've been bored and you've lifted my morale when I've felt sad or lonely. As a few of you already know, I'm a servicemans wife who lives on the edge of never knowing what will happen next. We've never lived anywhere for more than 2 years so keeping in touch with friends can be very difficult - this place makes me feel as if I belong! Enough of the mushy stuff, eh!

I've never admitted to being an addict but I suppose I really ought to now - here goes - I Am A DooYoo Addict. Ooh, that wasn't so hard after all!

If you're still with me - thank you! Hope to talk to you all later.

UPDATE
It's time for an update and unfortunately things haven't gotten any better!

Since confessing to a once a day habit, I've progressed to twice and sometimes threee visits per day. What am I going to do?

There have been a lot of changes within my year here, lots of people have come and gone - including a few friends :(

I've made plenty more friends and have even met some which certainly doesn't help alleviate this addiction! To make things worse, a very nice gentleman created guestbooks for everyone over at Tooyoo (check it out, if you've never been there) and now my time is divided between the two sites. I'm not getting enough sleep you know :(

I know there's no cure and I wouldn't really want one, I like it here. If you've become addicted to Dooyoo like I have, my advice would be - have fun, the community spirit is alive and kicking!

LONG LIVE DOOYOO!!
