I received my first crown this week and I'm very happy. I didn't even know that I had a crown as I thought that that you got an email through if you had. I just noticed that my points had gone up quite a lot. Then I looked back through my reviews and seen that I had a crown. The points had gone up because when you recieve a crown you get an extra 1,500 dooyoo miles.

The review that I got a crown for was a toy that my daughters got for there birthday. I was very happy with this toy so I thought I would review it. I think the review itself was over 500 words. To be honest when I write a review I don't even look to see how many words I have written. As I write my reviews on Microsoft Word then copy and paste them onto the Dooyoo site. This was a great tip by one of the guides as I was struggling with my grammar so this has helped improve and my spelling. I was really pleased to see that I had a crown as a lot of thought went into writing the review I actually sat there for a while reviewing it and watching my girls play with it.

Since I first started writing reviews I think my reviews have got a lot better as at first a lot of ratings I got were somewhat useful and useful now there mostly very useful. Then to get a crown must prove that my reviews have improved. When I started writing reviews I wasn't sure on how the site worked and how to write the reviews now I have learnt that the reviews need to be honest, descriptive and detailed.

I have nominated a few people on here for crowns. I don't just nominate people when I see that someone else has said they have. I actually read through the review and see if it deserves one. There are some brilliant reviews on here I find myself reading up on products that I wouldn't normally look at and thinking that I may try them.

I think anyone can get a crown, I think I'm still down as a new member and I got one. Some people have said you only get them if you're a guide or have been on here for ages I'm the proof that's untrue and I have seen many other new members receive crowns. I find that most of my very good ratings are when I review toys as that's what I'm best at doing. I suppose it is because I watch my daughters playing with them all day so I find them easy to review as I watch them interact with them.
