Don’t you think it’s sad that so many people feel the need to shout and argue over whether the Dooyoo system for crowning opinions is fair?

Having read several opinions on this particular subject I feel that I’d like to add mine for what it’s worth.

I’ve been a member of Dooyoo since last July and have received one crown for which I was dead chuffed. I don’t consider myself to be a prolific writer but I do enjoy the social interaction, which is why I joined in the first place.

Crowns are a very subjective issue, what one person believes to be a superior opinion isn’t necessarily what another agrees with so in reality we will never all be in agreement with the system anyway.

There are a number of writers that do receive crowns for almost everything they’ve written and of the ones that I know about they deserve them! Their work is far superior to a lot of others that I’ve read and I read a lot.
Instead of criticizing and complaining I feel it would be far more beneficial to stop bickering and enjoy the site for what it is supposed to be.

As far as ‘cliques’ are concerned well that’s part of life, as far back as you can go people stick together for different reasons be it personality or circumstances. It happened in school and it happens, as you get older.
I don’t belong to any ‘cliques’ and don’t really care whether it occurs or not because I still read whatever catches my eye no matter whom it’s written by.

If crowns are issued by nominations then I feel you should nominate more, I know that this has already been said and it’s a point that I agree with. I’m sure this isn’t a solution to the initial problem of people feeling that the system is biased and unfair but it will help get more opinions noticed.

Anyway, I don’t have the answers and I doubt that one can be found
in the very near future but what does seem certain is that the more bickering that goes on the worse things will get and I for one don’t want Dooyoo to disappear because of it.
