this is a review of how dooyoo compares to one of its major competitors, namely ciao. Now i joined both of these sites at nearly the same time, in the same way that most people do. Essential i found the sites in a search to find ways to make a bit of spare cash on the net. Both appealed to me, so i joined. Joining these two sites was easy. Free to enter both, the process was over in minutes. Raring to go i got stuck in and started writing reviews straight away, and the process of writing a review on the sites was as straightforward as it can be. Great i thought as i sat back and waited on the reads, and to try and get into the spirit of these internet communities. This really is where the similarity ends.

Happy with both sites so far, i awaited the reads of more experienced members, to try and get a jist on what was required for a good review. On ciao, i got a fair few reads straight away, but found that the ratings given were poor, and also gat some really cutting feedback! not very neice to hear this when you are new onto a site!!

Now i'm not saying these reviews were great, but as far as i am concerned, i would have been greatly appreciative of constructive feedback, and not sathing reviews of a newbie. It surely was like taking candy from a baby to them, as i got more and more poor comments left to me. No real sense of belonging.

Dooyoo is different. Accepted straight away, i got average ratings straightaway, but also a bit of respect and understanding for the newbie. This gave me impetus with which to continue my writing. I think i am getting better, and that in itself is a plus point for me!

Really what i am saying here is that as a friendly, and therefore useful place, dooyoo wins this contest hands down. When i got the first person to add me to their circle of trust i was overjoyed. Not one member of ciao saw fit to have a straight conversation with me, which left me sad and annoyed that my efforst, poor as they may have been to the more experienced writer, went unrewarded.

This leads me nicely onto the next point in my comparison. Rewards. Dooyoo are by far the better in this field too, with their standard reward of 3p or 30 miles (their currency) per member read. This is fantastic compared to ciao where you can get only 0.5p per rating, and only if they think that the review is good enough. Also some items you will not get any reward at all! Now, i have come to appreciate the atmosphere and addiction that is dooyoo, and no longer am i doing this for the money, but rather the enjoyment and atmosphere that you get. Neither of these sites will get you rich, and i would not give up the day job just yet, but in the time i have been on both sites, my rewards total is five times more on dooyoo!!! That is even including the fact that ciao does paid reviews.

The reviews on ciao are possibly the reason that a lot of people join up. Paid to answer questions? yes please i thought. I recieved two straight away and thought that this is great. Filled them in. One took ages, for which i eventually got paid yesterday after two weeks, and the other rejected me straight away! I have not recieved a single survey invite since. Surveys are not the be all and end all of these sites, and just because ciao has them, and dooyoo does not, it still is by far an inferior site. Loading time on ciao takes far longer than dooyoo, as does the time it takes for its paltry payouts to appear on your account. Dooyoo is quick, sleek and easy to use. Rewards appear instantly to you and this in itself encourages you to do your best each time. Just for fun i thought i would randomly slip in a test for you all, to make sure you reading. Leave 'bunnies' in the comment section, and see how quick those dirty little baby machines reproduce! but anyway, as i was saying, dooyoo is and always will be far superior to ciao in my book. The payouts, the chat and atmosphere, and the design of the site all make for a smoother and enjoyable experience.

Ciao does have some useful feture that dooyoo does not however, for example the points system by which you can easily tell the experience and popularity of a member. Also the lower payout levels. You can collect from ciao at only £5 for cash, when it is £50 cash on dooyoo (or £10 for amazon vouchers), however i think that no matter how long it takes, i would reach the £50 on dooyoo before the £5 on ciao anyway!!!

All that is left for me to say is that if you are genuinely reading this with regards to making a decision on which site to join, take my advice, and that of countless others, and join dooyoo, you will be better rewarded not only in the financial meaning of the word, but also in the friends you will make. I will be here for a long time if they will have me, and guaruntee i will be loving every minute of it. Thanks for your time! G
