Ok, i havent had a wee rant for a while so i think this is a good subject for me to have a rant on.

Drink/Driving

This is one thing that sadly i think just wont go away there will always be some idiot that thinks they can just simply get in their car after a few drinks and drive home, what is it they say "it will never happen to me" well as i say "never say never".

Ok take the scenario a person is in the pub has a few drinks and think hey i am only going round the corner so off they get in their car and sadly just as the get out the carpark they hit a poor pedestrian who dies now to me that is murder but how come they dont get tried as a murder suspect, its alright form them ok they may go to prison for a couple of years but their families can still visit them in prison what about the poor person they run over and killed their families will never see them again.

To me i think there should be no safe limit you should not take any alchohol if you are going to drive.

I dont see why police cant sit in pub/clubs carparks and stop these people before they even get in their cars.

Another thing i feel strongly about is anyone being conviced of a drink/driving offence should not be allowed to drive again or maybe they should be made to take their test again.

Personally i can honestly say i have never touched a drop of alcohol and got behind the wheel of my car i would never do it.

Each year at christmas they have a huge campaign but why just at christmas i know this is the time that more people are likely to drink/drive but it does happen all year round and the advertising campaign should bo on all year round.

Summary: Don't drink and drive it ruins lives
