Allan McNish is perhaps the most overlooked driver when it comes to sorting out the Formula 1 seats for the next season. He has the experience, gained from being test driver for Benetton and McLaren in the past, has won the Le Mans 24 hours, and is generally recognised as the best sportscar driver in the world. Yet his name never seems to come up when the F1 rumour silly season is at its height. This is a shame, since he is potentially the best driver never to have made it into F1. Dario Franchitti is wasted in CART racing. He may have an Italian name but he is as Scottish as David Coulthard. In fact he is a far better driver that Coulthard. Jaguar had the chance of signing him this season but he made a couple of shocking test that did no good for his future in F1. He is quick, young enough and talented enough to be an F1 driver. He is much better than some of the drivers of the "tail end Charlie" cars such as Prost,Minardi and Arrows. I think he has the skills and is biding his time for the right offer. ... Well anyone following UK Motorsport over the last year must have heard of Kimi Raikkonen,the British Formula Renault 2000 title holder.Well if you havn`t believe me you`ll be hearing of him in the near future.Why?well...... Anyone who has watched any of the Formula Renault races this year will have noticed how dominant the new `flying finn` has been,he won the title with 2 rounds still to spare meaning that he didn`t even have to turn up for the last two rounds at Oulton Park and Silverstone because he was still finishing his military service for his country,and still finished in the lead of the championship by a heafty margin.
