Advantages: There needs to be a fair playing field

Disadvantages: Something is wrong with the drug testing procedure

A fair playing field is all most athletes would ask for. Given a list of illegal drugs by any sports' governing body an athlete still has plenty of ways they can boost their performances, through training methods, supplements and hard work.

But something has gone wrong lately, especially with the number of athletes suddenly testing positive for Nandrolone. Can all of these athletes really be so stupid as to think that they would not get caught from a standard drugs test?

No, something is seriously wrong here. While I believe that there is still cheating in athletics I don't believe everyone can be guilty of taking Nandrolone. Even more so when the British Athletics organisation is clearing athletes like Doug Walker and Mark Richardson. Why would they wish to be seen as soft on drugs if they did not think their opinions were right?

I am almost certain that Nandrolone must form naturally in some people. More research needs to be carried out in regards to this subject to make sure that drug testing is fair to all athletes, and that the results the tests produce can be trusted.
