Advantages: Can be fun...
Disadvantages: Sometimes makes you do stupid things...
I don't drink very often, but when I do, I tend to OVER drink.
There's a few drunken experiences which I'd like to share, for entertainment.
The first one which I can think of, was when I was 15. It was St. Patricks day, and although none of us were Irish, myself and 3 friends decided to celebrate at a friends house. It was a lot of fun, from what I remember, but I suppose I don't remember that much at all!
Being St. Patricks day we thought Guiness was a must have, and so we decided to start with that. I'd never had it before and thought it was horrible at a first sip, so I decided to mix it with some Smirnoff Ice which was lying around... resulting in something which probably tasted worse realistically, but which I thought was better! Mix that with about a bottle of wine, general smirnoff ice drinking and the fact that I was only 15 and you get one very sick girl!
I was so ill, I was throwing up insanely before they called my mum and she came to get me at 11pm... It was then discovered I was too drunk to put my shoes on... So my friend Libby sat there with my shoes, (converse.. hard to put on sober... nevermind to put on somebody else drunk!) trying to put them on for me whilst I lay on the floor rather hysterical and sick...
I've never drunk Guiness again!
I don't remember much of the New Years just gone, however there is rather embarrassing picture of me sitting on the toilet which is circulating facebook at the moment :| Oh the joy! That was the first time I'd drunk Sambuca... I'm thinking when I try something for the first time I should test my limits carefully, not just drink endlessly! I've never felt so ill as I did on New Years day, and I've never forgotten so much of a night before. It was quite worrying!
I'm known for being quite an emotional drunk. I've learnt, and I'm less like that now than I used to be, however if I'm upset and not thinking I do end up having a drink and feeling even worse. I've probably embarrassed myself most when I've been upset and drinking, because I can get hysterical. I always think I know best and don't listen to anybodies advice, which is strange considering when I'm sober I appreciate my friends advice a lot!
I think I'm better about drinking than a lot of people my age, and I'm learning my limits and stuff... But you can't learn those kinds of things without making the stupid mistakes that come with them!
Summary: I'm learning :)
