When I was growing up, going down to Portman Road with my dad to watch Ipswich play there was only one player everyone kept talking about. He was everybody's favorite player. He was a lad from the area and was only 17. His name was Kieron Dyer. Kieron Dyer signed for Ipswich as a 17 year old trainee and broke into the first team in his first full season. As a quick, skillful, great passing, determined ( even playing and scoring with a broken leg!) attacking midfielder, Dyer soon became the hottest prospect outside the Premier league. At the moment, Newcastle United are placed higher in the Premiership than they could ever have dreamed of at the start of the season. A lot of pundits and fans are now saying that we will follow the example set by Bolton, and after heading the division, we will slowly lose contact with the leading pack. I have to disagree with this for one reason, and that reason is Kieron Dyer. Since his arrival at Newcastle, Dyer has enjoyed his status a little too much at times, and the fans worried that he would be another young star following the wrong path. Luckily, Bobby Robson is just the man to get him back on the right path. He has made it clear that he will not stand ... Read the complete review

Kieran Dyer is a fantastic player who has been imrpoving more and more over the past few years. He signed for Newcastle United from Ipswich Town a few years ago for £6 million and now I would say that he is worth about £20 million. He is an English youngster who has played for England and he will definitely play for them again as he is one of England's best players in midfield. In my opinion, one of the most entertaining games of the season was when Newcastle played Tottenham at White Hart Lane. Kieran Dyer played in the game and he seemed to be involved in quite a lot of the match. Below is a description of what happened. Tottenham 4 Newcastle 2 - ... Read the complete review

I first heard of Kieron Dyer when he was at Ipswich and had broken his leg and people were talking about him, saying he was going to go on and do great things, so you can imagine my delight when we beat of several Premiership clubs to sign the talented youngster for 6 million. This was Ruud Gullit’s best signing by far during his ill fated stay on Tyneside. He started his Newcastle career like a house on fire, even though Newcastle were playing badly at the time. The first real taste the Newcastle fans got of Kieron was during the 8-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday, even though he did impress during the away match’s at Southampton and Sofia in the ... Kieran Dyer has began to fulfil the promise he showed with Ipswich Town, with his performances this season. He has played out of his skin in most of the games I have seen on television. His running, tackling, crossing, etc. have came on leaps and bounds under Bobby Robson's tutelage. The big problem seems to be what position he is best suited for. Since Alan Shearer's enforced departure from the team he has been playing up front. Quite successfully so. This season he has also played a supporting role, behind a main striker, played in the centre of midfield and even played as a wing-back. Personally, I feel that his best position would be supporting ... Read the complete review
