Egg Cups

A couple of months ago I was chatting to a friend from across the pond (America) and the subject of eggs came up and I could not believe that she didnt know what an eggcup was. An eggcup is something that I take for granted. I would think that every household in England has a couple in their cupboards and probably use most weeks if not daily. Eggcups are basically holders for putting your boiled eggs in. They can be made of anything but usually china. The humble egg cup. A nuisance, or an innovative way in forward thinking? I think their brilliant, and the person who invented them should be awarded a medal. But then again, there are so many to choose from! So which one is right for me? Well lets start with what an egg cup is. Man... I'm picking the weirdest things to write about at the moment!!! First tea which I hate and now eggs which I hate! I've just seen the kind of breakfast connection here.... Hmmm..... This is going to be an opinion on egg cups and the health value of eggs. I have had stainless steel egg cups at least they dont break ,but the egss get cold quickly.Blue china egg cups,and the ones I have at present have funny faces on them.I shall read the other reviews because I need some more. I saw some in Robert Dyas ,that were white and had a nobbly design on them next time I go to town I will purchase some. I have the strangest collection. I collect eggcups but I used to hate boiled eggs when i started. So what got me into such an unusual collection? My neighbours one Easter decided that instead of buying me an Easter egg they would buy me an eggcup. It was beautiful. Victorian and worth quite a bit of money. It was like one of those blue and white painting and had pictures of willows and people on it. I loved it and put it on a shelf. Next Easter.
