Advantages: It is good to support local teams and the atmosphere is great

Disadvantages: They haven't shown what they are capable of against stronger opposition

Elgin City were 'promoted' from the Highland League last season along with Peterhead. They started quite well scoring the first goal in the Scottish Third Division against Brechin but eventually went down 2-1.

They were eliminated from the League Cup by Cowdenbeath and the League challenge cup by Dumbarton but since then their fortunes have changed with 3 draws and 2 wins in the league leaving them 7th only 1 point behind the 6th place team. They are currently on a 5 game unbeaten run, so lets hope the form they have shown recently will continue.
