Advantages: Pacy, energetic, good tackler

Disadvantages: Diver, lacks control

Emmanuel Eboue is an Ivory Coast International, he was born in 1983 and played for ASEC Mimosas youth academy before moving to the Belgian club Beveren, during his three seasons with Beveren he impressed enough to win a transfer to Arsenal.

Eboue mainly played as a substitute in the 2004-05 season however in the 2005 season following an injury to first choice Right Back Lauren, he was pushed into the backline alongside his Ivorian colleague Kolo Toure.

While being a regular through 2005 and 2006, including a full appearance in the Champions League final loss to Barcelona, he has subsequently suffered through injury, loss of form and the wrath of crowds around the country.

Eboue has always been an energetic footballer and was compared to Garrincha in the early stages of his career by Wenger, however, with age an element of nastiness has crept into his game, as his nasty dig at Frank Lampard in the nasty League cup final proved. He is also a renowned diver and has really upset his own fans with his theatrical antics. With the establishment of the reliable Bacary Sagna and Theo Walcott down the right hand side of Arsenals team, Eboue has been reduced to the role of sub. He is a trier and always shows energy, he has pace, energy, can tackle and cross the ball but he lacks vision and composure and always appears slightly out of his depth in arsenals intricate passing game.

Last season Premier League crowds reallty got on his back and with Walcott, Arshavin, Rosicky and Jack Wilkshire he is unlikely to get much action as a midfielder this season and is therefore mentioning that he will move if he isn't first choice. While he's a good utility player and sub that will never happen so we may see the end of Eboue in the Premier League.

In view of his nasty theatrics over the last couple of seasons I won't be too disappointed to see him gone.

I adore Emmanuel Eboue - hence the profile pic. I was gutted when the fans booed him. It was totally uncalled for. I'll be upset to see him go, but I can't see him getting in the side next season unfortunately. Perhaps moving on will be best for him (thats hard to say for me).

When he came on as sub against Wigan and fell apart in the space of a few minutes in the second half, tackling a team mate and seemingly incapable of passing to a player in red, the writing was on the wall. I have never heard home fans give one of their players such a roasting and I doubt he'll be a Gunner for much longer. Good write-up. 8^)
