-- What would you describe as Erotica? --
I would describe erotica as something that would arouse sexual desire in me. This could be an image, a written story or even a sound. For example, I love Vin Diesel’s voice (and his arm muscles… mmmm!) and I would say that it has an erotic effect on me in that whenever I watch a film starring aforementioned actor I then proceed to have naughty daydreams (also starring aforementioned actor – and me – and Brad Pitt!)

I am neither here nor there with regards to having a category dedicated to erotica.
The argument that children/young people use the site and so we should not allow it does slightly annoy me though! The internet is full of websites with sexual content which I am sure are just as accessible as this one. Hell, if a kid really wants to look at sexual images or read sexual stories most newsagents are full of rude magazines (not all of them on the top shelf either). Even the newspapers are full of it! They could even stay up until after the watershed and see it on the television.
Children on the internet should be supervised. Their parents should be making sure that they are not using websites where their children could be exposed to sexual content.
-- Have you ever watched an erotic movie and/or a porno movie? If so, what is your general idea on this kind of movies? –
Yes. I have seen just the one porno movie when I was a teenager. My best friend at the time, Lorraine, had borrowed it from her boyfriend so we could see what all the fuss was all about. He must have had a twisted sense of humour because he lent her one where all everyone seemed to do was wee on each other. I spent most of the film peeking out from between my hands screaming in disgust and giggling like a little girl. For months afterwards, every time we excused ourselves to go to the toilet we could do nothing but laugh hysterically.
Needless to say, I have never been tempted to watch another porno film.
Also, I have this weird dislike of watching films where people kiss a lot. Kissing seems so much more private that sexual intercourse to me. Is that strange?
-- Have you ever used a so-called adult toy also know as sex toys or sex aids? If yes, which ones and what is your personal view of these products? –
A couple of friends of ours gave us Chocolate Body Paint last Christmas. Does that count? I know you can buy it in the Ann Summers shops, so I think it must count.
My personal view on Chocolate Body Paint is that it doesn’t smell like chocolate, it doesn’t taste like chocolate and it doesn’t look like chocolate, plus it is incredibly messy and I spent the whole time wondering how I was going to get it out of my sheets in the morning. I then had to get up and go and eat some real chocolate because I had been looking forward to the chocolate more than the sex and was obviously very disappointed.
A friend (Lorraine again – she’s a bit sex obsessed) told me a story once about how her and a few friends tested whether vibrators were better than all the ‘stuff’ a man could do for you. Apparently the vibrator won hands down! I wouldn’t know personally.
-- Many people say that British are prudish. Do you agree? Many newspapers in this country display photos that other papers in most of Europe would never display. Are we a two-faced country when it comes to Erotica? Shy to show it in public, but happy to dig into it in private? --
Sex is a private thing, why on earth would we want to show it off in public. That’s not prudish!
Although I am British, so that might be a prudish answer.

God! Where do I start?
I think I have what is commonly known as a ‘dirty mind’. Most of my dreams are erotic at some point. I think I use my dreams to explore the sexual things that I would not want/be able to do in my waking world.
In the past six months the dreams have been very welcome because I spent a lot of the time with a gigantic stomach filled with a wriggly baby and my partner refused to do the business with me. I didn’t tell him though because he gets very upset that I ‘dream-cheat’ on him.
I do have a recurring erotic dream about two very good-looking (male) twins. I like that one!
I have also had dreams about sleeping with a woman and about sleeping with certain celebrities that I find attractive (because lets face it – Brad Pitt is never going to be interested in real life!). The list goes on, but I’m blushing already so I think I’ll stop.
Summary: I am neither for or against an erotic category.
