Last time I looked.....PORN IS EVERYWHERE. So should it have a place here on DooYoo ? Is there a place for Erotica on DooYoo. Hmm, now this is a topic for debate. I am sure that many master-debators have considered this question before me and I am sure many more will follow. So for what it's worth here's my six inches...erm..two pence's worth on the subject .


----Whatever turns you on ----

A famous funny person (who's name presently escapes me) once said that the Internet was created for pornography. If we were to remove all the sites from the internet that contain porn, we would be left with just one site called "www.bringbacktheporn.com".

Some people in the world find it hard accept that we live in a world full of free choice and adults capable of making decisions on there own. Yes there are millions of sites on the internet that contain erotica and porn... but there are also just as many millions that don't. The same people who would object to the category and it's reviews,writers and readers, are those who moan at the telly...and don't change the channel. Those who would actively voice an objection, a SERIOUS, objection to ANY new category being added, let alone an Erotic one would find themselves fighting a losing battle. If DooYoo want it, and want to keep it, they will. They ain't a charity folks. If they can get Ann Summers or some rampant rabbit crowd to buy links/popups or adverts for that section , they will.

From my experience of sites like Dooyoo and other community sites, adult materiel and conversations/jokes and even flirting, always find a way in. So like the internet in general... let it find it's place on Dooyoo, let it attract it's audience and then let it do what it wants to do...as long as it is moderated to a level. You don't have to look at it if you don't want to.

To ensure that no one IS offended by any Erotic reviews, any member who wants access to read or write should have to accept an agreement. You know the "I am over 18" lockouts that are on restricted areas. Then they should have to contact DooYoo for a password to that area. To be honest with you this would prevent anyone from accidentally "clicking and then being shocked and stunned" by what they "accidentally read".


---- Will the earth move?----

What should be in the Erotica category? Who will read it? Will it work ? Sorry, but to be honest, I don't really care. As I mentioned at the start, porn and erotica are everywhere. There are adult magazines in newsagents only a few shelves above the Beano. If people want a bit of tit-ilation every once in a while, let them have it. I am sure that people who like that sort of thing will enjoy it, and those who don't...won't have to read it...WILL THEY?! Whatever the content is, I am sure that those members who have registered and have a password for that area can debate themselves silly over what they want to explore.
