Curiosity is strong in me always about knowing new things,
One of my professors said gathering information, assimilating
information can lead you to knowledge and who knows wisdom.

My desire to learn english language started with Mr.Pickwick papers and then followed Reader's Digest, initially I opened the book and found WORD POWER and there in order to test my knowledge of words, I completed their test and the later pages hooked me permanently to this book.

As soon as I lay my hands on a Reader's Digest I am so eager to lie down on a pillow and start reading it . The title of the book Reader's Digest means the person who is reading. The book belongs to him so I dont delay in knowing what I have in this book.

1983 when I got hooked to this book, there were no Indian Editions only way to acquire was thru government reading rooms, libraries, used paper dealers, I have been thru all of them to get this book.

The mildness of articles, the usefulness of articles and the content has overall topics a fun digest different from all others in the market yesterday, today, tomorrow.

Humor in uniform, Towards more picturesque speech, Drama in real life, Campus humor, Quotable Quotes, Ancedotes contributed by readers always kept this book fresh and viberating, What a ingenious idea to just edit the contributions and keep printing the digest and no need to depend on bloat headed editors and flimsy mooded writers, this formula has kept many loyal to this book since ages and this will continue if the content is not channelled or dyed in particular topics which tend to happen in Indian versions of things.

EVOLUTION OF MAN
What publicity and what controversy pumped this theory, I myself think HIPPIE generation was the result of this theory, people thought we are evolved Apes so no need for Morals, Ethics, Obligations.
