Titled: HUMAN EVOLUTION - PROGRESS HALTED!!
------------------------------------------------- ------------
- please note that this review also discusses the meaning of life.
This subject within a review type format has been winking at me for a while now and therefore requires a measured
accuracy. I'm not going to give you 'the' answer but I may stimulate a thought process that could bring some enlightenment.
The title is pretty much a Darwin-ism, but as a human I felt it appropriate to deliver this review - don't be discouraged to read on - All will be revealed.
There are no master-plans that make any sense, well not in the human dimension anyway; humans are only a minor fraction of what is regarded as the true answer. - What we know is that we all are part of an amazing elaborate evolution process that has been going on for over 5 Million years and even during that time we have only adopted knowledge and the skills to learn as humans for a very short time frame; so forgive me but my knowledge is sketchy. I can also claim that being a mortal man who has not got super-powers and looks upon custard creams as a wonderful reason for getting up in the early hours; my efforts may be wanting somewhat.
However, rest assured I can claim that 'we' always deem as anything being non explainable or properly understood of being something of a higher and above us as in regarding intelligence and in a higher realm of thinking. - This is fact, and is questionable, in my view. All that has been written and understood from scholars from earlier times are asking more questions rather than answering them in completion. I'm not questioning if there is a higher being as in a recognizable 'God' that has created all that there is; but whether we are selves as humans are stopping human evolution progress by constantly undermining what we supposedly are meant to be. - It has been in the media that for generations we have been in denial of our own power of thought. Only a small percentage of all of us know what can be achieved. This is not via pray to an unknown dimension but by our own admissions and purpose.
In the last few hundred years 'we' have evolved to being taller and supposedly more intelligent, though sadly no-one at the time were able to measure intelligence but via today's methods we know our ancestors as being a lot smaller. A good example was that King Charles the first was not even 5ft tall - when executed back in January1649. the reason for this could be that their clothes weighed a lot more and therefore stunted growth; as soon as the industrial revolution in the mid 1750's people were taller - co-incidence? Well, it is at least an answer, or a reason. What we do know is that 'we' are very versatile to what we can achieve, however, firstly we got to realize that we can achieve this in the first place. The one interesting fact this last year was the making of the CERN; a reenactment of the 'big bang'. Weird comments were made that a black-hole would swallow up Earth and our solar system and beyond; even though this apparently appears not to have happened, it showed that there are individuals who are afraid of the un-known, and I'm talking about highly intelligent people who are currently shaping our very own futures. It is proof that we are as humans are not working together in find our utopia but have very different views and most of the time neither wrong or right, and I'm including this view-point. At least with the CERN project it was trying to get some answers from the beginning of time, rather than taking it from where we are now 14.3 Billion light years later. Well, it was before custard creams and when the universe was actually translucent when you were able to see through matter, and before dark matter was produced, which makes up all what we can't see. 'We' know what produced the 'big bang', but the real problem lies to why it occurred. You can hear the 'big bang ' while tuning in an old fashioned radio transmitter, along with the whirring noise a tiny blip is heard every so often and that is the sound of it, re-enacting the invention of time, before that even occurred the universe was 1 inch sphere wide, about the size of a custard cream.
I was talking to a professional Linguist a few years ago about 'our maker' and we discussed for a couple of hours why we have all got different beliefs? To cut a long story short, we found that the countries which seemed the most violent were the most touched by religion; and in fact due to this were less able to be productive economically historically. It was also mentioned that in the Middle East individuals celebrated and worshipped death rather than in the West where life is celebrated and worshipped. The difference is vast; proving that humans alike will never find any answers together as one. Whether, that in itself is the reason why utopia will never be found, you will have to let me know in about 50,000 years. One thing for sure, there certainly will be more women around then than men. A few years ago it was found that the make-up of the male is diminishing; so the weaker sex in the long-term is I'm afraid the male species, but you knew this fact already ladies didn't you? - So when you try to get your man to do the cleaning and he say's he's tired, feel sorry for him, as we males are fading away.
Apart from the man made problems in today's world, such as the current down-turn, the answer to the meaning of life is absolutely free without any terms and conditions. That is - 'love'. Love is real but like everything else in our lives there has to be a balance and that is hate; without it 'love' wouldn't exist, this I feel makes it worth a mention. Balances is required to keep emotions real and understood, it gives life a purpose and for whatever means drives aspirations for the human race.
Read the words of B. Pascal, - 1623-1662 - a French Philosopher in the seventeenth century, below
'When I consider the short duration of my life, swallowed up in the eternity that lies before and after it, when I consider the little space I fill and I see, engulfed in the infinite immensity of spaces of which I am ignorant, and which know me not, I rest frightened, and astonished, for there is no reason why I should be here rather than there. Why now rather than then? Who has put me here? By whose order and direction have this place and time have been ascribed to me?'
Pascal's comment above, asks more questions than actually answering them, experts and scholars have done this for years. Once an investigation has been made all subject areas in all walks of life deems to open up even more questions. This is where being naïve can actually perhaps save you time and energy; leaving you open for a fundamentally prosperous life in other ways.
Thanks to the constant wonders of medicine and farming has allowed our longevity time span for up to four times as long as our Ancient ancestors. Our life expectancy is now so good that eliminating all accidents. Natural selection no longer has death as a handy tool; which either delays or stops the human race evolving. - So now the human race evolution progress has halted some-what. The changes will not be so obvious physically but intellectually very different, as we are getting more intelligent.
Now that the natural selection process has diminished over the last two hundred years; Humans are 10,000 times more common than we should be, according to the rules of the animal kingdom, and we have agriculture to thank for that. Without agricultural progression, the world population would have reached half a million by now - about the size of the population of Glasgow; - because the mass world population is 6.25 Billion and growing the human race is therefore a victim of our own success; however, or existence won't last forever, we have many hurdles to encounter, some we already know about. - Hopefully man will be able to right the male diminishing genetic make-up and maintain that perfect balance; otherwise the world will be a very different place consisting of only shoe-shops.
Thank you for reading this review - Hope it was of interest.
