Advantages: The QU would solve a lot of problems if harnessed

Disadvantages: Could cause a few too !

Just been reading some weird stuff on Quantum Mechanics ! I'll sum up as best i can !
Oright here we go:
A standard PC is given an equation, it takes 100 years to solve, ok so far ?
A quantum PC would also take 100 years to solve the same equation BUT, in the quantum universe time does not exist or at least isn't linear, (stay with me), therefore it could return the answer to the equation to the same point in space and time as the user requested the answer. Weird or what ?

Ok, theres more, apparently scientists have proved that the quantum universe exists ! Hooray, i think ? How ? Some theologists reckon, the QU could be shangri-la itself where all our answers to the universe could be explained at once !

I have a few problems with this:

1- If the quantum universe is there and can be tapped we're in deep sh*t ! Because by my reckoning, if we create a quantum computer, surley it would become instantly self aware, and therefore god-like, as it would literally have all the time in the universe to amass knowledge. Man builds God ? I don't think so.

2- I thought Quantum stuff was so small it winks in and out of existence as we understand it, matter and anti-matter and all that jazz, how then could we (mankind) ever hope to manipulate something that doesn't always exist ?

3- It is said that a modern computer would have to be the size of our galaxy in order to transport matter (eg teleportation) but a hand held quantum computer could easily do the job, as it could take eons to calculate the data but time doesn't exist as we know it remember ? My problem here is energy, i mean would this thing work off a watch battery or what ?

4- Final problem, a catch 22 of sorts, what came first the known universe or the quantum universe ?

Answers on a postcard please (just joking), Anyone with any comments or opinions on this matter let me know, i'll relish reading them !

Oh,
Hi Ophelia, don't get out to speakers corner much hows things ?

The Disturbed One !

Not sure if this is an evolution topic but didn't quite know where to put it !

so if a quantum computer instntly becomes self aware and god like but runs off a watch battery can we disable world religion by removing the batteries..a bit of a heavy op to read after a few vodkas (yum) but very good all the same.

So if we included a quantum computer in a car's GPS and integrated it with some sort of automatic steering system, could we drive to a place in the past?
Or could the computer even answer the question before we've asked it?
And how is it possible to prove the existence of a QU without doubt, since you can't actually cross over? Surely it's just clues and simple deduction, isn't it? Ouch, I think my head is going to explode now...

I used to be good at physics. Now it just makes my head hurt ;)
