Advantages: Great calorie burning
Disadvantages: It hurts at the time
Although I'm not totally awful when it comes to diet I do know that if I ever stopped exercising then I would soon pile on the pounds as I have a bit of a sweet tooth and also find it ver hard to not clear my plate when given food, I'm ok if I get to serve myself but it must be someng to do with my up bringing that I feel the need to always eat what is put in front of me.
Hence I go to the gym a lot and tend to always do the different classes that are available and here are my opinions on them.
Body Pump is one of my favourites as you get a cardio work out while using very light weights so it is also good for toning your muscles as well. Set to music you tend tok different muscle groups for each record and it is up to you how much weight you put on the bar and dumb bells.
Spinning is exercise on a bike again set to music, this is excellent for your legs as well as your bum and stomach muscles as some of the session is spent out of the saddle. The only thing I have against this class is that I fear getting chunky calf muscles so I only go every other week.
Body Attack is my favourite and is similar a bit to Boxercise, a very high energy workout and very varied in the range of exercises that you do all set to a high tempo dance beat, this has replaced standard aerobics as my main cardio workout and it great for calorie burning. All of these classes and others can be found at most local gyms and good instructors will vary the routine ever few months to keep things fresh.
