This years FA Charity shield is something that we were are all looking forward to; it’s the first slice of football that we will see, brilliant.

For those who don’t know, the game is between the FA cup winners (Liverpool) and the FA Premier League winner, of course Manchester United.

The best thing about this game it that it will be the first time that we able to see the team come out from the summer resting period, against an English team. We will be able to see how both teams are shaping up, how will the new players perform. Were will gain an insight into how both of the teams are shaping up for the premiership season nearly upon us.

In this case Manchester United have the most new players, and as a Manchester United fan I will be very eager to what this match. How will the likes of Veron and Van Nielsteroy do against a rather competitive trophy winning team?

So this has the makings of a great game, in the almighty Millennium Stadium, to of the height quality team, so who will win?

I am going to have to say; MANCHESTER UNITED 3 LIVERPOOL 1.

Anyone who disagrees, comments welcome below,

UPDATE;

A good match we all saw but sadly Liverpool had the upperhand and won 2-1.

Will we see the same advantage in the Premier league.

Liverpool to win after penalties, than Man U to go on and win Premiership.

And will Roy Keane collect his annual Charity Shield red card?

Yaaah! We'll beat you. Well, probably not, but it'd be nice with Becks already talking about plans to go all season unbeaten! Ben
