Feedback and General Suggestions for dooyoo

Advantages: Find out how good or bad something is, can get lots of information

Disadvantages: Lots of ops full of the same information

This is how I see Dooyoo at this point in time, this is my opinion and the idea of this site is that we are all entitled to an opinion.

I have been the proud member of Dooyoo now for just under a year and I have contributed 83 opinions in this time.

Now when I first started writing on Dooyoo, an Opinion was exactly that, an opinion on a product by you or me. It was not a list of facts and figures, but it was supposed to represent how I or You felt about a certain product so that if anyone looking for this information could get an idea of whether it was a good or bad product through the experience of others.

Now its nice to have all the facts and figures to hand but all this is leading to is lots and lots of opinions which are just that. If i'm looking for information on a product I want to know what its like to use, is it good or bad, does it do what its supposed to. If I am looking for a particular product then I generally have an idea of what it does already.

I want to know whether the thing I am looking for is good or bad, if its good, WHY? if its bad, WHY? Not, how many widgets and grommets its got on it!

The standard of Opinions on Dooyoo, in my opinion is very high and I am not knocking anyones work, but I thought the point of the site was to tell people about your experience with the product and whether you thought it was a good or bad thing.

What I am trying to say is tell me its good and bad points, tell me if it does its job, does pick up dust if its a vacuum, does it cool you food if its a fridge. Not its a fridge or its a vacuum. I already know that its in the Product title. Tell me why you bought it over other similair products and why. This to me is more importnat than a list of features.

Perhaps I am being a bit harsh as I do like reading others ops, but it does get a bit boring after the fifth op that repeats the features of a product word for word.

I know that some ops nee
d to have the features listed as some people may not know how, what or why a particular product does what it does but look at the work of other to find out if somebody else has done it already.

I think that they have said it all but it is a real hard task to give a personal opinion, with all the facts, but not too many, keeping it concise but not being too brief!

I agree! see my op 'fact vs opinion' for details why! Cheers, Kaz

I agree the most important part of the op should be your own experience of the product...seems obvious really!
