Ferrari Racing Team

Description: Sports: Motorsport / Sport Topic: Motorsport Teams

Newest Review: ... sudden shift in power? Well it wasn't a sudden shift in power. The afore mentioned people have been at ferrari for almost a decade (except for Barrichello). It has been a slow and steady progression to get to where the team is now and I for one had seen it coming. Since getting involved in formula 1 in 1996 - I saw the Williams of Damon Hill win then Jacques Villenuve, Mika Hakkinen ... more

The scarlet ferraris were bloody awesome last season - time and time again they were getting 1-2 finishes. Qualifying was a different story because we saw that the Williams's were better over a single lap on numerous occasions (but even then the ferraris were sometimes able to beat them) So what is so spectacular about this team? Well Ross Brawn, Jean Todt, Rory Burn seems to be the answer, but then I also think that you have to look at the structure and nature of this team. With Michael Schumacher as the number 1 driver (5 times world champion) and also having Rubens Barrichello (surely could have been champion if he was given the same support that Schumie ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The best car, the worst team (210 words)

I like every kind of sport, but personally in the last two o three years formula1 has changed from a sport to a monopoly, Ferrari is ruining this sport with their restricted vision, Ferrari has the best car and there is no doubt about it, but the worst driver, personally I recall when at the last race he won the title thanks to "a human error" (he simply bumped with the car against a wall and then with the car simply went against Damon Hill winning is first title) or when he tried unsuccessfully to kick out Jack Villenouve from the last race, I cannot call this pilot a champion. Statistics are clear Michel Schumacher is the best driver in all the f1 ...  Read the complete review

I wasn't sure whether to place this op here, in the general F1 category, or in the "Circuits" category under Austria. It seems that GP reviews generally come under the latter; however, this is not really a review of the race as a whole, but rather of the actions of Ferrari, which so dominated proceedings last month that the Ferrari section seems the only sensible place for it. Anyhow, let me nail my colours (proper scarlet ones, too, not the hideous Marlboro/Vodafone pink Ferrari use now) to the mast straight away: this was not an acceptable use of team tactics; it was a cynical and contemptuous act that has done a good deal of damage to the (I use ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Ferrari Racing Team

They should be pulled up for unsporting behaviour. - Advantages: Steeped in tradition, Good tactical planning in a 'fair' situation - Disadvantages: Give there number 2 no chance, Blatanty bend the rules, Too politically powerful in Formula 1

Premium Review Ferrari Racing Team: The Prancing Horse (468 words)
by - written on 18/03/02 (Very useful, 255 readings)
Rating:

Ferrari have the longest tradition in the sport of Formula One Motor Racing, being founded by Enzo Ferrari and having competed in every Grand Prix since 1950, when the official world championship started. Having contested 655 Grands Prix they are the most succesful team in the sport with 145 race wins and 11 constructors titles. Their drivers have won a total of 14 titles for the Scuderia, as they are also known. Scuderia being the Italian (they are from Italy if you didn't know) word for a stable. The stable of course refers to the black prancing horse which is their world famous logo, usually emblazoned on a yellow shield with a scarlet ...  Read the complete review
