Formula 1Newest Review: ... when we went to visit her one Sunday afternoon and watching the news coverage with my family. However, I didn't really get into F1 until I was 16, when in 1995 and 1996 I became an obsessive Hill supporter. In 1997 I transferred my love to Villeneuve. Then strangely, I migrated to Schumacher, although I went off him when he started winning everything. For some reason (probably because ... more |

From reading around various internet forms I find people are in two minds about Formula 1 this season - it's either the best or the worst season ever. In my opinion it's definitely the best season for over 10 years and with the news that Schumacher is set to return, it just keeps on getting better! I'll start with a bit of history about my own love of F1. My mum has always been a fan, which she inherited from my Granny - yes it's the women in my family who love it! I have distinct childhood memories of Murray Walker's commentary with names such as Piquet, Senna and Mansell always being reminiscent of the smell of Sunday Roast. I remember my Granny breaking ... I have only just realised such a marvellous sport Formula One is. I thought that it was just a load of cars going round the track over and over again. But after sitting down and watching a race I am not a F1 convert. My first race was Lewis Hamilton world championship winning race in 2008.Althought I did not watch the race fully and might have fast forwarded to the final 10 laps I loved the whole excitement and thrill of the whole event. Now I follow every single race. Not a big fan of watching the practice although I do like to know who are fastest. But from qualifying to the big race itself I don't dare to flick channels of fast forward ... Read the complete review

Is there any greater pinnacle of world motorsport than Formula 1? The technology is the most advanced, the budgets are the most inflated and the setting is the most prominent. However, if you go to any grass-roots racing event you'll undoubtedly find the same kinds of passion, commitment and commitment as you will on the F1 stage. But F1 is about taking all of these things to the absolute limit. Formula 1 has a popular following across the globe and has a firm base of talent and technology within the UK. However, it also has a dark history with many talented drivers killed or seriously injured throughout its past seasons (most notoriously in the ... Read the complete review

Formula1 what can i say i love it, i love the cars the teams, the technology, the stratagy, the variation on all the tracks, the outright speed and all the charachters in and out the teams its all good. I've been watching f1 since the year 2000 and i started quite quickly as a David Coulthard/Maclaren fan and i have continued to follow both. DC at Redbull and now as a BBC pundit, which he's doing a great job at. Lewis Hamilton has been great for the sport and i am a big fan, he's certainly made it more interesting, especially when Alonso was his team mate. This year has been good and quite refreshing and i'm enjoying seeing Button get ... Read the complete review

As a young boy growing up in the 80s, I was fascinated by fast cars. The speed, the sound, the looks, the smells! Cars are so exciting! Then one day my dad was watching these funny looking cars driving fast around a track on tv. I had never seen cars like these before, and my dad was explaining to me that they were racing. For a six year old boy, the sight of these exotic cars racing each other, with the turbos whistling, exhausts popping and shooting flames out the back, the cars throwing up sparks behind them, and on top of all that a very animated sounding commentator, I was soon completely absorbed in the spectacle of the whole thing. As I watched I was aware of ... Read the complete review
