Disadvantages: Usually Boring, Driver skill makes little or no difference to the results

The only thing worse than watching Formula 1 on TV is Big Brother.

I don't mind Formula 1 being shown on the telly, but when it is shown at the expense of other potentially brilliant broadcasts and events, it becomes an unbearable torture. Saturday and Sunday viewing is poor at the bext of times, however one program in particular stands significantly below the rest...

I, believe it or not, am actually a fan with Motor Racing. My only problem with watching Formula 1 is the sheer lack of action! The racing is less dependant on the driver than the car, and although the drivers must obviously be very talented, I object to the lack of opportunity for them to show this off.

It would be nice to see, for a change, some actual driving winning a race, rather than the fastest car. The Arrows, for example, could have the best driver in the World, and still he would stand next to no chance of a top three place.

Maybe some system of regulation for the cars would be in order, something to even the odds at least. Anything that meant that the drivers would rank in order of their ability ather than the make of car they were driving would be an advantage.

Until then, I am going to stay firmly opposed to Formula 1 on TV. My weekends shall be spent on the beach, not watching mind-numbingly repetative races week after week.
