Quentin FortuneNewest Review: ... too. I don't feel that he will be a permanent first team player once the regular players come back to full fitness though, but is certainly a good squad member and the manager has probably made the right decision in blooding him at this stage of his career. He certainly has not done the team any harm and has put in some good performances for them. I think that Fortune is South African, ... more |

From what I have seen of this man, he is a promising looking player. He plays either as left full back or on the left side of midfield. I have seen that he is very capable of dribbling with the ball and can cross it well too. I don't feel that he will be a permanent first team player once the regular players come back to full fitness though, but is certainly a good squad member and the manager has probably made the right decision in blooding him at this stage of his career. He impressed me right from the start. He has genuine pace - just like Giggs - and also a very good left foot to couple a more-than-decent right one. He has a stunning free kick ability to rival Beckham shown in the trip to Brazil last year. He can run at players and also put in great crosses for strikers. If he played with Beckham during a Giggs absence we would be at a great advantage with two very capable crossers of the ball. Having said this, he will find it very difficult to get a place - and impossible to be first choice. Giggs has a superior ability to run rings round defenders and cut through them with ease. He can also take free kicks and ... Read the complete review

Against Dinamo Kiev he did not impress me that much. I have seen him play a few times and he normally looks quite good. When Ryan giggs went off on Wednesday it was Quentins time to impress but he did not really do anything. He does a lot of running and covers the park quite well but after giving the ball away on countless occasions he didn't get back and cover in defecr like giggs does so well. On the whole I think he will get a game because he can play well but as soon as gigs is fit again he will be straight back in. ... Read the complete review

Quentin Fortune is going to be on of the greatest players ever to come out of the African continent. He must be something special if he can break into Man. Utd’s midfield. Nicky Butt can hardly even get a game any more so the boy must have talent. Well of course he has talent. Anyone who has seen him play will know he has pace, can cross and pass well and is a cracker finisher. On top of being a good footballer he is also a top bloke. During the summer when all the other footie stars where off on holiday he was visiting children in need as part of his UN commitments. It’s just a pity wasn’t born Northern Irish. He’s going to be big. ... Read the complete review

Quinton Fortune is one of the few african players with a chance of making it big, and when given the oppourtunity to move from the Atletico Madrid B, to Manchester United, he jumped at the chance. His pace down the left, agility up front and all round ability make him a hot prospect for Manchester Uniteds future, even in the (dare I say it) post-Giggs era. Keep supporting him, he may be the surprise jewel in Man United's crown come May. rob :P ... Read the complete review
