Fox Hunting...Hmmmm...How about human hunting? Now i hear an uproar that says humans have more rights than animals...how very human of us!

What on earth gives us the god forsaken right to hunt an animal down purely for pleasure? None! Fox Hunting is without doubt a neanderthal pastime for the over priviledged who feel they are above every one else.

Lets face it, all they do is go out for a ride on horses, so why not just do that without having to terrorise a poor creature culminating in that creatures savage death.

Admittedly, we are not perfect, however i have no problem with the slaughter of animals for food as long as this is done as humanely as possible. Although i am far from a Christian i do know the bible and it says that any animal with a split hoof is available for consumption. It does not say "murder everything in sight if you want some fun"!!

My one regret is voting in a spineless twat like our current prime minister who did a complete u-turn on the fox hunting ban once he got some pressure from the aristocratic morons who participate in this murderous act.

I begin to wonder that by the time this world ends whether there will be any innocent animals left on this earth due to the way we continually hunt and abuse them worldwide. Time has come for these type of things to stop!

Bring the future here now and lets have a game like "The Running Man". Put these so called thrill seekers in a field and lets chase after them with a pack of hungry Rottweilers and see how scared they become.

Remember, animals were here before us and as such we should respect that!

Summary: Ban all animal cruelty, not just fox hunting.

The fox dies in seconds - it's far more humane than being shot and limping off to die in pain, or being trapped and lingering for days, or being poisoned...

I think your argument is very one-sided. You've got to relize that foxes are a real threat to farm animals such as chickens. No matter how much protection you have for your chickens, foxes still can find a way to kill them (hence the title -sly as a fox). I know this because i have many friends who live on farms, and think that the less foxes there are, the more sucessful their farms (in that department) will be.

I do however agree it is immoral to hunt for the pure thrill of killing something, and also am rite by your side in hating stuck-up t***s who look down in society. But also i'm somewhat of a traditionalist, who wouldn't like to see the end of such an old English tradition.

Its a hard dicission to make weather it should be banned or not, because its a democracy, and what matters is what the overall opinoin of the population think. If i remeber it was a close call with fox hunting. Also a believer in democary i will, and would have, accepted any outcome since the whole people had a chance to vote and the majority came through.
