Advantages: The chickens
Disadvantages: The Fox
I have friends who hunt and i have been along a couple of times to see what all the fuss is about.I was surprised to meet a mix of people from different jobs and careers there and they all seemed to be having a good time and meeting new people. My mate says he does enjoy the back to nature experience and the chase on horse back over the countryside nd the eventual kill. The horses are trained to chase, the hounds are trained to hunt and kill the fox,as is the fox trained to kill fowl. I think men are designed to hunt and the thrill of the kill is in most guys weather they like it or not,so seeing a fox hunting down and shredded is no skin of my back.I think its every persons right in the country to do what they have been doing for eons with out silly townies (me) telling how they should lead their life. The only reason i can see to people defending animals that eat chickens is because the fox is attractive and cunning like the men perhaps some of the women who follow hunting are attracted to and cant get off with or are drawn to. A simple class war hatred rings more true to me because posh people are doing what they want and enjoying themselves by keeping this sportt and at no time is that detrimental to working class people. Blair might win a few blue collar votes by wasting valuable parliamentary time on this but its still not worth putting 10,000 people out of work who enjoy their employment with the American economy bringing recession to the UK soon. What i found interesting and all ready knew was that more hounds die than foxes on the chase.Horses are put down when rider and equine get tangled with barb wire. Most hounds are put down when they out live their usefulness, surprisingly by the RSPCA who are the biggest animal cullers in the country outside of the slaughter houses. Talking of slaughter houses. Why don't the antis go there and protest. How about fishermen who bring in 10,000 halibut. What about the flies and beatles murdered
by army boots by idiots chasing men on horses in ploughed fields.Someone tell me the difference between animals and insects. Is it only the sexy ones that people admire and look up to like most things in life. If a man needs to hunt and kill then its on his conscious and no one else.No one can possibly give more credence to the death of a fox over the slaughtering of animals in muslim ceremonies,or the cow who is blasted with a bolt in the head. Be honest out there folks. There are lot worse things going on out there than traditional country sports. My friend admitted that its not about controlling fox populations but its a chase and the thrill of the kill. You admit if your listening that you don't like the red coats because their posh and above you in the social pecking order as you perceive it and hence let control you in your life and decisions. Every where else in the world hunting is far less controlled and you should be happy with what you have .Let them have fun and you worry about the RSPCA putting down 5000 pets a year and still having over 100 million pounds in the bank unspent whilst the patrons and Celebes, top bosses etc have a right old time flying fist class to meetings and pigging out on any one who's donated.

Sorry, but just by saying "If people want to do it - let 'em" to my mind doesn't make this a very useful opinion, or a useful one for that matter.
Surprisi ngly, to some people's minds at any rate, there are some more positive arguments you could have made pro-hunting. Unfortunately you didn't bring any of these to bear in this offering.
You are the Weakest Link - Goodbye!
