They are the current French champions but their best players have left the country: Barthez to Man U, and Trezeguet to Juventus! Barthez, probably one of the best goalies in the world and Trezegoal, the best striker in France last year. I feel sorry for Puel who had to rebuild a team spirit with other great new players! Not many people know but Bordeaux is the debut club for Zidane and his old pal Dugarry. Zidane then moved on to become one of the best footballers in the world, as for Dugarry he went to Marseilles - Bordeaux archenemy but quickly came back to his old club. There is no doubt Dugarry is the Bordeaux star, but what about Lilian Laslandes who scored twice in their tie with Celtic at Parkhead to definitely beat the SPL leaders? And what about Wilmots, the Belgian super star or Pauletta the hat tricks Portuguese specialist?
