Advantages: Act now. choose who YOU want to have access to your mobile number.

Disadvantages: Not long to act on given information

I am writing this review so that I can reach as many peeps as possible before the weekend.
This is more of a ' Did you know?' and 'What you can do about it,' review and is about the forthcoming MOBILE PHONE DIRECTORY.

======DID YOU KNOW?=====

I don't know if you have heard, (I hadn't until today) that early next week all UK mobile numbers will be on a directory; this means that any Tom, Dick or Harry can get hold of your number and cold call any time they like! It is particullary worrying that so many children have mobiles; who knows what sort of calls may reach them from strangers.

=====WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT=======

Thank goodness, it is possible and easy to unsubscribe , BUT, it must be done before the beginning of next week to ensure you are ex directory.

~~~~~Here's how to unsubscribe~~~~
(1) Switch on your mobile phone, make a note of its number.
(2) go to:
http://www.118800.co.uk/removeme/remove-me.html
(3) Click 'HOME' top left of screen.
(4) Click 'Ex-directory' top right of screen.
(5) type in your mobile phone number on screen in appropriate box and submit.
(6) A five digit, code number will be sent by text (within minutes) to your mobile,
(7) Type this code number into the box provided on screen and type the security words then submit.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~SIMPLEZ!~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You should then receive notification that your number has been removed from the directory.

It is my belief that we should have the right to choose who we give our mobile numbers to.
If you are in any doubt as to the validity of this notification, then log on to:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/working_lunc h/8091621.stm

I hope this will save a few from the hassle of cold callers onyour mobiles.

Summary: I want to know that it is either a friend or family member calling me and not a stranger
