I?m having a wee go at Jillmurphy?s Lazy debates too; so here goes
Do you believe in life after death?

I do indeed, I?m absolutely addicted to reading about the Paranormal and Spirits. I?d like to think that when we leave our physical bodies, we could still carry on our lives in another place and meet up with the people that we have loved and lost.
Should smoking be banned in public places?

At the risk of ruffling a few feathers I do believe that smoking should be banned in public places. I?m so annoyed when people think they have the right to smoke over me while I?m eating or that they can light up in the staff area of my workplace. The republic of Ireland have banned smoking in clubs and bars, and it is very refreshing to come home from a club to find your clothes are fresh and still smell clean. I?m all for banning smoking, and it might stop my father from killing himself with cigarettes before he is fifty.
* Is capital punishment wrong?

No. I do not believe that it is wrong. Against my Christian teaching I believe it should be an eye for an eye. Those who kill should be dealt with in the most extreme manner. I?d get rid of all convicted paedophiles as well. The world would be a better place.
* Should cannabis be legalised?

Yes. Cannabis is a wonderful thing. I?m not anti-drugs, although I?m clean living myself. My boyfriend is partial to a few puffs of the happy plant and he has a brilliantly laid-back view on the world. I think we should take a leaf from Holland?s book.
* Is beauty only skin deep?

I admit that I can be quite vain when regarding myself, but when it comes to choosing a partner I can most definitely say that beauty goes much, much deeper. I?ve never went for aesthetically good looking men, I a
lways go for ordinary men who have a twinkle in their eye. You can put on as much make-up as you like, but you can?t fake twinkly eyes. The twinkle comes from the person inside!
*Does Britain still need a monarchy?

No, it is a terrible waste of money. And I don?t think that the queen has any relevance in my life. I mean, seriously, what could she possibly know about me that makes her my superior. England can keep their monarchy if they want, but I doubt that the royal family will be acceptable ?superiors? to the Nationalists in Northern Ireland within the next ten years. Apparently within ten years, the Nationalist voters in Northern Ireland will equal the Unionist voters, and then Northern Ireland is in big trouble. I don?t think the monarchy will bother to do much to help that situation. Unless N.I becomes a country in it?s own right soon we?re up a creek without a paddle. I don?t see the queen lending us one.

Absolutely. Killing animals for sport is very, very wrong.
* Should Britain join the Euro?

I?ve thought about this a lot, because I deal with sterling and Euro daily, and I?m still undecided. Of course there would be benefits, but sterling is worth so much more than the Euro, and although our cost of living is high, we still do ok with the currency. Keeping sterling also keeps a piece of the British identity. So perhaps Britain should think about this for a little longer.
*Should all firearms be banned for private use?

Oh dear YES! Think of how many tragedies could have been avoided if guns were harder to come across. I?ve grown up hearing of gun-murders daily, and it is all so sad, and avoidable.

I reckon prostitutes provide a service. If I were in charge I?d certainly legalise it, so that stricter controls could be set- NI number etc? to stop children being explioted.
* Are we living in rip off Britain?

Yes and No. Brits have no idea how good they actually have it. If you take the standard of living here in Northern Ireland and compare it to that of the south of Ireland, there is a huge difference. However I do believe we are charged ridiculous prices for every day items.
* What is your opinion on pornography?

As long as it isn?t animal sex, child sex or those extremely weird fetishes I?m up for pornography. It is perfectly ok for consenting adults to make porn films and it can be an education for the rest of us. Generally when I watch a porn film I giggle the whole way through, but I?m certainly not adverse to watching more. In fact I?m considering making one ;) For private use only I?m afraid!
* Is genetically modified food right?

Yeah, any food is ok. We should be prepared for any disasters to strike at all times. You never know when a famine might hit. I?d have no problem eating an alien tomato
