Paintball in GeneralNewest Review: ... 1000 paintballs and paint grenade (mwahaha!). The staff then gave us a 10 minute chat on health and safety issues, what we're allowed to do, what we're not allowed to do, had to wear our masks at all times once in the firing area, etc, just general stuff that's common sense really. We then split into two teams, and began the first 'mission'. I think the first game was a simple elimination: ... more |

I have literally just come home from my third experience of paintballing. The one I just went to was Tendring Paintballing Xtreme in Tendring, Essex. It was an early start, having to get there at 8:30 in the morning, and as soon as we got there, they took our names, a number to identify you and give you a pair of overalls. In this particular paintballing centre, the number you are given is basically a tab, so you can get whatever you want all day without worrying about money, and then pay at the end. This is easier as it saves faffing about having to get your wallet/purse out every time you need more paintballs or a drink, but as you don't actually ... Read the complete review

Paintballing is my fravourite adrenalin sport / hobby, ive been playing for about 10 years now and still love it! the first thing that most people think about is "does it hurt when you get hit" simple answer is no, its like a little sting and thats it, it leaves a small red mark which wont last long. as a rental player, your chosen paintball site will give you all the equipment you need for a days play including the clothing, this can be anything from a boiler suit to a cammo top and trousers, you dont have to get changed you just simply wear it over your existing clothers it can be an expensive day out as prices range from around £20 and can go up to £100 ... Paintball is defently one of the fastest growing sports, not is it just fun but an adrenline buzz. The first time i played it i was a little nervous, and it defently didn't help the pile of kit you were given to wear which is a little daunting, with a mask to protect your face, a pair of overalls, a battle pack and an armour vest. Once you are all kitted up you are given a saftey briefing where you are bombarded with rule upon rule and how to play the game. What had i entered myself into? Once i started to play my adreline started to pulse and the excitement kicked in, what was i worring about? Most peoples fears are of the pain caused when you are hit, ... Read the complete review

These days paintballing is the only real execise that i get, I tend go several times each year, about once every two months or so and have tried lots of different sites. The first thing that happens is that all participants will be kitted out in protective gear, this usually includes - overalls to protect your own clothing, Full face mask, which is essential to protect the eyes and ears and a utility belt which has no protective properties but is used to carry extra canisters of paintballs during games (usually hold 4 canisters with 100 balls in each). Some venues also supply gloves but if they don't i would advise you take your own as being hit on the hand really ... Read the complete review

At the moment, paintballing is my favourite sport. Not only is it fun to play, it keeps you fit, its fun, and a great way to spend time with your friends. Basically the aim of the game is to shoot balls of paint at your opponents (from the neck down usually) and eliminate them from the game, whilst obviously trying not to get shot yourself and not shooting your other team mates. The paint balls are water based and just contain coloured dye so are non toxic. The last time I played paintballing was at a place in Harrogate, it was for a friends birthday and a great day out. We were split into two teams of 8 and sent off to find a hiding ... Read the complete review
