Advantages: the injured players

Disadvantages: the attitude of the public

As always patriotism will rule this tournament as much it did with the world cup, henmania will rule again and the player will not live to the expectation that the country has of him.
i say this not cuz i hate but because we have to be realistic about our sporting chances against the rest of the world. while we complain about everything under the sun because we don't know how to make things better so we look to our sporting "heroes" to make things better, to make britain "great", to place us ammong the elite once more.
when will britain realise that nurturing new talents instead of placing pressure on the current "stars" will not lead to anything. englands performance in the wordl cup showed how a young squad has the potential to come of age given the time to grow and perform on the big stage. henman has already come of age and his best is not good enough.
however because the best are not at their peaks and a few others are out through injury they believe its henmans year. this shows how desperate the public are for some sort of win, even with a weakened field they believ they should win. doesn't that sound oddly familiar? 11 man england again 10 man brazil? englands time will come but its not now
