Advantages: not too expensive, good atmosphere

Disadvantages: Britain always lose, hard to get food

The Davis cup tennis tournament was vastly overshadowed by Wimbledon this year, and it also took place at the All England Club. I went for 2 days for the United Kingdom versus Ecuador, and the atmosphere was great. There were some well known players (Tim Henman, Greg Rusedski and Nicholas Lapentti), as well as some lesser known ones.
The tickets, at £22, are much cheaper than Wimbledon tickets, but there are fewer matches going on.
As well as tennis, there were some ceremonies, and the Lapentti brothers' mother singing their National anthem!
Going to the Davis Cup makes a great day out, but the food is overpriced and the restaurant queues are very long, so it is better to take food with you.
