The following review I wrote when I was living in Milton keynes but all of it still applies. All of these below are my own personel experiences from these agencies.. Introduction agencies, where do I start ? Well, I don't think anybody has actually reviewed these, probably because everybody has had better luck than me, but I thought I should warn you all of these truly awful agencies that are only after your money and have no interest at all in their clients. The aim of this piece is to talk quite generally about the phenomenon of political correctness. Now, we all know what political correctness is about: avoiding expressions that can be perceived to exclude or insult people who are thought to be socially disadvantaged or discriminated against. On the face of it, this seems like a reasonable guideline of behaviour. But there are problems and it is my intention to expose them. There is one politically correct convention that makes me particularly annoyed, and that is the use of 'him or her' when just 'him' will do. I was discussing with friends a couple of days ago the fact that the news story concerning the missing girl Madeline in Portugal seems to still have legs in the national press which is pretty impressive given the number of days since her disappearence. Admittedly it does not make the front pages so much but I cannot think of a day when the news has not contained some story or other especially on shows like GMTV which seems to provide an update every day usually as either its top or at least top three news story. It is a pretty horrendous story and plays on the heart strings of everyone and I imagine more so for those who have chilren of their own, ...
