Advantages: Fun and fitness for all shapes and sizes
Disadvantages: the odd fight
Sunday Morning Football.
You can't beat it in my opinion, A rag tag bunch of blokes in all shapes and sizes kicking a ball around a football pitch, I love it.
I have been playing Sunday Morning Mens football since I was 15 years old, some 20 years ago and I have seen it all, Players who are so drunk from the night before that they can hardly stand or throwing up on the edge of the pitch, Blokes that are so fat that they can hardly see their feet let along run for a ball.
Kit that is so poorly fitting that the only person it fits is the 16 year old son of the teams manager, the rest are either straining at the stomach or think that they are wearing thongs as the shorts are so small.
I have seen some very comic moments on a football pitch, Once a player, who I won't name, forgot that they had changed round at half time and due to still being drunk from the night before, promptly attacked and shot at his own goal, he missed thankfully but it was very funny.
I have seen a ladies match where the referee got hit by the ball about 20 times as the ladies were not very good at playing and were just kicking it anywhere they could.
of course there is the odd scrap on the pitch, but these are usually handbag at twenty paces affairs although I have seen one player chase another across two other pitch's where games were being played at the time.
I now run a Sunday Morning Team and I hope to do so for a long time to come but the best part of Sunday morning football is going to the pub after a match to chat about the game and any players new girlfriend and having a drink and a laugh with the lads.
Summary: Sunday Morning Football is the Best in the world
