Advantages: Good Youth Players

Disadvantages: No ambition

I watch in dispair as first Rio was sold, then Harry Rednapp left under a cloud of suspicion (did he jump or was he pushed?) and now the sale of Frank Lampard! Is this a team that shows ambition, who aim to push on from a relatively poor season?

To draw comparisions with the Man Utd, Chelsea, Spurs and even Fulham teams - they must inspire their teams with a feeling of progression and the hope that they may challenge and be competitive throughout the season. I wish I could feel the same way about West Ham. Instead I feel deflated, confused and unsure of what the future will hold for a team I have supported for many years. Having established themselves as a top six contender I now feel the chances are more focused on saving relegation.

Without wishing to judge Glen Roder who's previous Managing record has not been inspirational, I feel the selection was made on the basis of nobody else was interested so give it to Glen! Had we appointed the likes of Alan Kirbishly, David Moyes, Viali or even Kevin Kegan I feel we would have approach the season with a feeling of eager anticipation.

Top clubs dont sell their best players, they attract better players who want success - who is coming to West Ham ??
