Advantages: doing well at the moment
Disadvantages: will fall away later on
OK so I’m not confessing to have the greatest knowledge about football…but who would have thought Bolton Wanderers would be at the top of the Premiership with 2 wins from their opening two games. Well done Bolton. They have certainly proved themselves not to be an easier push over as everyone had deemed them. I have to admit my 3 favorites for the drop this year were Bolton, Middlesborough and Southampton. (Sorry to any fans of these teams that read this) So far Middlesborough and Southampton are down there…but wait a minute, wheres Bolton?…at the top. Leeds are also looking good with a great start to the season…2 wins from 2 also. A fantastic win away to Arsenal last night saw them fly up to second place only behind Bolton on goal difference. Leeds did manage to show us that yet again they tend to lose their temper in games with 2 players (Mills and Bowyer) being sent off. Saying that though, should they really have been sent off?. Liverpool and Chelsea haven’t really got going yet, so it’s hard to say anything about them at this time. But the team that are going to win the premiership in my eyes are…..DRUM ROLL…. Manchester United, well come on what did you expect. I believe there isn’t any other team that are going to touch them again this season. Liverpool will run them close but that’s it. My top 3 prediction this year is… 1) Manchester United 2) Liverpool 3) Leeds United Sorry to all those out there who hate Man United, but I’m afraid it’s a fact that they truly are the best team in England. But who knows…. Bolton may run they close. Good luck to all teams and may battle commence.

jem25 - 22/08/01 I'm a Boro fan and was absolutely gutted when they beat us but I am really pleased that they are doing well - I always like the underdogs to succeed! 5-0 against Leicester had me rolling on the floor!! |
