I have been a supporter of a team in Northern Ireland for approximately three years and I am surprised at how little support teams receive. Although not up to the standards of Premier League football the matches are still entertaining and much cheaper, though most teams only receive attendances of 500 or less. Due to the limited resources many teams are going bankrupt and facilities are poor. The only way Northern Irish football can improve is with investment of sponsers and more support. I would advise anyone living in Northern Ireland who is interested in football to attend a match and sample the quality of football and atmosphere for themselves.
