MY REVIEW OF MY REMFRY CRICKET EQUIPMENT

Got my new Remfry kit today and its lush.

Anyway here is my review on my new Remfry kit -

Ordering/Communication:I spoke over the phone to Steve about ordering an inner and outer thing guard on about the 3rd of June, and he is a top bloke (just watch the time difference when calling, as the only time English people can call is early in the morning). Had a good chat to him about the ordering process and his products (I was chasing a inner and outer thigh guard), which are obviously the best of its kind in the world (Ricky Ponting and pretty much the entire Aussie team to name just a few!) and Steve proudly admits this - when I asked if he was still doing Remfry products his response was "certainly am, the best protective equipment in the world"

He sent a order form to me which I can pass onto anyone interested, which I filled in with the required measurements for the custom thigh guards and arm guard. I then scanned this back onto my computer and emailed it to him - to the right address, which was not the one supplied to me by Hawk Cricket or others on this forum...

I also choose to order an arm guard, not that I had told Steve this.

Waiting time:13 days later they're here, so pretty top notch stuff!

Quality: Well I probably don't need to go on about this! The stuff is just just lush and fits me perfectly (as one would expect for custom made gear), protectively its really good, and even the straps are of good quality.

Why I would order Remfry over ACE:

* When I rang ACE they didn't return my call. They don't make arm guards and when I requested that they do so they said they would find out if they could and call me back. They didn't.
* They were going to send me templates for my thigh guards and they didn't ever send them!
* They were arrogant when I offered to sell a few to my teammates in return for a discount they said they laughed and said they didn't need that as KP was using them. They also said they were cheaper and faster than Remfry. Well that's not true as they are certainly not cheaper and I doubt they are faster as I am still waiting on my 'templates'



Basically my gear is just an example of Steve's top work. He's a great bloke, originally a doctor making casts for patients he's now turned to this and the result is quality protection at a good price. He also mentioned soon there is to be a website...
