Newest Review: ... you get just that little bit more fuel for free! Tip 2: Open windows during driving causes the car to be less efficient, due to increasing the effect of drag (air resistance) on the car, meaning you need to use more fuel to move the car. Tip 3: Ever feel like you need a new car? Often, all you need to do is give your car a really good clean and it feels as good as new! Tip 4: Always try to keep the fuel above the half full line. Not only encase of emergency, and you really do not want to have to start worrying about fuel as well as whatever the emegency is, but also because having low fuel damages the engine. In a perfect system, it would... more

Hi everyone, i am currently learning to drive, and thought i could share some weird little tips for driving, that i know from my love of top gear, 5th gear, and many other types of car programs: Tip 1: Always fill your car up in the morning if you can, as generally the climate is colder, and so the petrol or diesel isn't "expanded" due to the heat. This way, you get just that little bit more fuel for free! Tip 2: Open windows during driving causes the car to be less efficient, due to increasing the effect of drag (air resistance) on the car, meaning you need to use more fuel to move the car. Tip 3: Ever feel like you need a new ...  Read the complete review

In a summer of blockbusters and 'threequels' it's the welcome end of the film year folks and here-here to that! It has not been the best. With all the people with important jobs breaking up for their 16 day break now here's my DVD releases of the year to fill that gap. They are the ones that I was able to rent from January 2007 so one or two may seem dated. So here they are in no particular order... #1# 'THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM'` Starring Matt Damon... *4 dooyoo Stars* What can you say that hasn't been said about the Bourne Movies. I think it's the first trilogy where you genuinely look forward to the next movie-unlike the Pierce ...  Read the complete review

Before You Start - obtaining access to the vehicle ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ First, approach the car. Is everything there? Are there four tyres? Doors? Wing mirrors? If not, you have a problem. Please refer to your user manual, or call the helpline (calls cost 69p per minute off peak, 99p per minute all other times). Now, find the door on the driver's side. This can be recognised by the round wheel-like thing in front of the chair. This is the Steering Wheel. This is often on the front, left side of the car, unless you are in a country where they drive on the left, in which case it will be on the front, right side of the car (unless the car ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review You don't have to pay the List Price for your new car (1069 words)

Car prices have been in the headlines a lot over the last year again, particularly when dealers were bracing themselves for a predicted onslaught of customers wanting the new registration format in September 2001. We are constantly being told that we are paying through the nose for new cars in this country whilst the rest of Europe drive around in identical vehicles for less money. Looking at the economics of the situation we should be paying more for our vehicles as we are an island nation and transportation costs need to be factored into the equation. But hang on... lots of cars are, or used to be, made here and we ship them out. Then there are the ...  Read the complete review

There’s nothing nicer than having a brand new car. The bodywork is perfect, the interior smells new, the odometer is virtually at zero and you are the envy of your neighbours and friends. The catch? Well, a lot of people can’t really afford a brand new car and of course, there is the small matter of it devaluing by a few thousand pounds as soon as it’s driven off the forecourt. The alternative to many people, is to buy a second hand car. However, there are certain pitfalls with this. The car becomes an unknown quantity - we don’t know how well it has been treated, what is wrong with it, or if it has ever been in an accident. However, with a bit of ...  Read the complete review
