To all of you considering buying a car this year. stop and think. Unless you have money to throw away, buying new is a waste of time.
Firstly the car you buy has not properly been driven so could have a number of undiscovered faults, secondly as soon as you drive it from the forecourt its already lost a couple of thousand in value, and thirdly whats the point when registrations change twice a year.
Look around, the bottoms dropped out of the used car market, a six month old model can be half the price of a new one and often have a good warranty and free insurance.
Save up and pay cash, or if your buying on hp, still barter the best price and when they go as low as poss cash wise, my advice is to be cheeky ask them to throw in extras. Even a full tank of petrol soon adds up and many dealers will!!
Check around, look in the free magazines for a rough guide price and aim to pay less.
