Court number one probably hosted the best matches of this tournament as it really came to life on a rain-free day. Djokovic-Baghdatis all down to a gusty 5 setter and Novak ... more

Today was arguably the best tennis we've seen during the slam fortnight. Let's face it, the rain delays that hampered this 130th edition of the Wimbledon Championship led to the most extraordinary day in terms of tennis, the very game itself. I guess - as John McEnroe so rightly said - these delays made this slam so special because of the tension .. the locker room wait has reached some levels never reached before, we just need to mention Nadal's battle against Soderling in what was only the third round of the tournament.. and that just one game took three days to complete! and as if one extreme was not enough, Federer himself managed to play his quarter final against ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Is Federer human or is he a superman? (456 words)

When Pete Sampras retired with 14 grand slam titles all the tennis Wiseman said there won't be another player like him for a generation. Roger Federer made fools out of the experts. At the age of 25 he is on verge of winning 10th grand slam. I watched Federer beat Roddick in the semi-final of Australian Open. It was the most one sided match ever. Quality of play was exceptional yet Federer made Roddick look ordinary. Federers performance could be described as the best ever. Federer hasn't dropped a set in this competition yet. Federer has a versatile game, he can play from the baseline and is an excellent vollyer as well. His serve is better than ...  Read the complete review

Well. Where do you start? Roger Federer has the potential to be the Pele of tennis. He may become the greatest ever player to hold a tennis racket. He already has three Grand Slam titles to his name and in the future he should add many more. Roger Federer is a rather unique tennis player. In many ways, his game and style of play is so simple, which makes mistakes minimal and makes succes at the highest level much easier. However, his forehand is probably the best in the world of mens tennis and possibly the most unique. He has incredible supination around his wrist joint which allows him to generate incredible pace and power, as well unreal angles ...  Read the complete review

Greg at 20/1? (607 words)

I like the bookies because the bookie likes me. I turn up and leave all my money there that I bought and one of us goes home sad. But I think I may have a winner for you as Tim and Greg go head to head in Melbourne. My tip is a little weird as I m going to bet on Henman to beat Rudeski tomorrow live on BBC1 on 9-30 am at 15/8.But im going to take the very generous odds of 20/1 against for the Canadian/stroke Brit to win the tournament. Tim is like the studious batsmen out there as he grinds down his opponent with guile and guts as he nudges his way to a century. Rusedski is the big pace bowler that tries to blast his opponent out with power and ...  Read the complete review

When watching tennis be sure to take a break every 30 seconds or so, so your eyes don't get stuck in the corners of their sockets. As an added precaution, seats at the front or back of the court may be preferable to courtside seats but again beware, your eyes may get stuck in the top or bottem of the sockets. Tennis is dangerous to those watching but their are no warnings. There should be a government warning about this game. ...  Read the complete review
