Premium Review General Tipster: My 3rd Round FA Cup Predictions! (2228 words)

In light of Steven Gerard's surprise arrest there was a little piece on the radio about the hex of the official club calendars. As a bit of fun some researcher discovered that the player or club official on the picture on the opening January page is at most risk at the club. And bearing in mind these calendars have been printed two or three months in advance they are not very up to date. An example would be the unfortunate picture of the Forest manger Colin Calderwood on the calendar in the club shop whilst Liverpool had Gerard on page one. Chelsea has Drogba and Man United have Tevez to open up, two guys who may not be at their prospective clubs this time next year. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Not a bad first week even if I do say so myself. (577 words)

If you would have followed my tips last week you would have ended up with a minimum profit of 3 pts, maybe more depending on the bookie you bet at. Not a bad first week, especially if you did follow me. Before I discuss this weeks selections let me just reiterate some points for people who may not have seen the column last week. Let me just tell you from the start that I am just an ordinary man who enjoys a bet. I am in no way connected to any organsiation, bookmaker or website. I would like to say that I am very knowledgeable on a wide range of sports and thats why I feel I can offer tips the way I will be doing. You will see many website and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review General Tipster: American, decimal and british odds (275 words)

Odds tell you how much you could win by placing a bet on your favourite team. At the beginning of my Betting adventure I was a bit confused. Odds were displayed on various ways on different Sportbooks. This opinion is a simple description of the three major odds types. European/Decimal Odds When using European odds (decimal odds) just multiply your stake with the given odds and you know what your total payout will be if you win the bet. If you want to know your net winnings just deduct your stake from the total payout. British Odds British odds (fractions) function as follows: multiply your stake with the odds and as a ...  Read the complete review

I tipped you 2 from 4 in the National, now heres the Masters ... (1553 words)

If you have any pin money left from your once a year bet and you got a kick out of The National then how about a nibble on the US Masters golf. Ok its not so frenetic and exhilarating as Aintree, but it has extensive coverage on BBC this weekend and its nice seeing your pick climbing the leaderboard. Because Tiger is always hot favorite you can get excellent value on E/W bets, some exaggerated to encourage people not to way in on the worlds best player. I have a good record tipping here and got second and third in The National this week and two of the four major golf winners last year in Duval and Goosen. The good thing about the Masters is that only ...  Read the complete review

General Tipster: Champions League second legs.Arsenal V Man United? (761 words)
by - written on 08/04/02

With the very real possibility of an all British high profile semi final on the cards and not the telly for 99% of the nation lets have a quick prediction for the second legs. When ITV digital needs all the revenue it can get its playing a risky game by broadcasting this to its minute subscribers only, further alienating any new business, but sadly that rock and a hard place is the only way to get new punters. BARCELONA 3 PANATHINIKOS 0>>>>>>>>>>>>The Greeks did the best in a cagey home leg with a creditable one nil win. But the Nou Camp isnt the place to go and put ten men behind the ball. The onslaught will be too much, and the expectation massive for Barca as ...  Read the complete review
