GeographyNewest Review: ... to help you. It will spoil the challenge that you are imposing on yourself and will be a waste of time. If you get a lot of questions incorrect, then do study the map to find out more about them. This quiz was composed completely from scratch by myself, the only help that I have used was just to check that the answers were correct. I hope that you can try and answer the questions and have some fun doing it. At the end of the day, you will almost certainly learn something new, that you didn’t previously know about. So just enjoy it! ~Question One~ What is the name of the stretch of water that lies between Sweden and Finland? ~Questi... more |

I have decided in this review, to do a little quiz for all of the Dooyoo users. I am going to base it on geography, as it is one of my favourite subjects. I like nothing more than when you are with family or friends, a sudden outbreak of: ‘What’s the capital of…..’ begins to take place. I love a challenge and a quiz is something that I immensely enjoy whether it is for a prize or just a bit of fun. I will include some easy questions so that everybody has the chance of getting a few answers correct. There will be some harder questions (extension) that will really test your brain. If you want to find out how much you ... Read the complete review

Geography is one of those subjects where you need to have a good memory for facts and figures. Whichever exam board you are under, you will need to know a wide range of case studies. It is one of those subjects where you will do the same sort of topics you did during your GCSEs but in a lot more data. The exam board I am under for Geography is AQA. At my college we study AQA syllabus A. I’m not sure what the difference is between syllabus A and B. I shouldn’t have thought there would be much of a difference between them; in fact there really isn’t much difference between AQA and the other exam boards. ... Read the complete review

Yes folks this is an opinion about travel..my advice, get out there and do it while you still can! I have recently arrived back from spending 2 months on the lovely (err!) island of rhodes and without a shadow of a doubt it was the most amazing experience of my life!! To cut a long story short (ands this could indeed be a very long story!) me and a friend simply turned up to Gatwick airport with a rucksack, a passport and a pretty unimpressive bank balance. We had no ideas where we were goin to end up but we were determined not to go back home for as long as we possibly could. In the end we managed to blag a cheap package holiday to rhodes which became our base for a ... Read the complete review

I did Geography at 'A' level and thoroughly enjoyed it. The syllabus was very diverse, ranging from third world poverty to globla warming. This is an excellent subject for anyone wanting to become more aware of the workd around them and the issues facing the human race today. You can expect to study a variety of things as well as some practical work as part of the course work requirments. I visted some beaches on the South coast, the London Docklands and inner Manchester as part of my course. It is very different from GSCE and the work load is very much greater. I happen to think that this is also one of the most accesible subjects due to the ... Read the complete review

Geography a level seems very different to the GCSE which I had done before. The course i followed was the London Board Modular syllabus. The greatest change, and possible pitfall is that there is far more physical geography at A level, and if you can't get this bit right, as well as the human side it might just drag your grade down. In a way it can almost seem like two seperate subjects, and the variety helps to keep your interest. One of the best things about geog a level is that you will often get to go on a field trip. Ours was in North Yorkshire for a week, and I had a great time. ... Read the complete review
