Advantages: takes up time, fun to do, creative

Disadvantages: NONE

I first started this off when I saw a friend of mine do this hobby and some of the things she had painted were lovely.

I decided to start this hobby but first to get a emplate book and to read about it also I needed to get the outliner which is just whatyou paint inside of like an outline and this can be in any colours which decorates it nicely. I also needed a brush and paints, you can get water based or spirit based but most recommend water bsed, this is if you want a see through look which is what most do want.

To start off this hobby it would be best to start using your outliner and going over some smaller templates on sheets of acetate which are chaper if you do make a mistake. If there is a time when you make a mistake on glass which is common for beginners then you use white spirit and it should come off your hands and glass but I am not sure about clothes that is why an apron must always be worn.

If you do not always have the money for pieces of shaped glass from your art shop then why not try painting glass paints or even glass jars which are nicer to keep things in.

There are so many great designs to do and it isn't hard to paint everything once you get into it. The paint can makenthe brushes hard so clean them well.

If you get really experiences at it or do a good design then you can start to sell you work at a fair of some sort and earn yourself a bit of cash, it's nice to impress others with your fantastic results.

I have a friend that does this, and it always looks lovely.
I've never had the inclination though ...

I tried this once and it was crap! No offence but the paint looked awful. I had bought it from QVC on the basis that when you got bored with it you could peel it off. Alas that was not the case and my wooden frames were ruined!
