blown out of proportion - Advantages: benefits consumers: decreased food prices, less toxins in food or water, benefits environment, they are non toxic herbicides used to produce gm foods which are biodegradable this means that it will decomposed itself without having negative effects on the environment - Disadvantages: non in my opinion

So much is written and talked in the 'alternative' media about genetically manufactured food and seeds, but not much reaches the mainstream media besides the government imposed announcements on field trials. There is not even any regulation for stating GM content on labels. Doesn't that make you suspicious? Well, it did make me suspicious when the European Union ruled that GM food ingredients do not have to be labeled. Being a fan of organic foods and an opponent to the virtues of ready-made foods, I immediately started to wonder about the implications those GM crops might have on organically grown foods.
